The 1,2,3 “Skin Snap” Home Test
Want to see just how supple (or not!) your skin really is?
Then take this simple test:
1) Place one hand palm down on a hard, flat surface, spreading your fingers as wide as you can. (You choose the hand!).
2) With your other hand, upwardly pinch the skin just below the wrist – as far as it’s comfortably possible. (Make believe you’re trying to lift that hand up by the loose skin).
3) Hold for 5 seconds, then quickly release.
A healthy teenager’s skin will rebound back almost immediately. Someone in their 80’s may have a ridge lasting more than 5 minutes! The quicker your skin rebounds back to being flat – the healthier it is.
